How the license works

Two options

AGPL-3.0 (free). Run it, modify it, self-host it. If you offer a modified version as a service, you must publish your modifications.

Commercial (paid). Managed deployment, no AGPL obligation, premium packs, SLA, support.

When you need the commercial license

  • Your legal team forbids AGPL software in production.
  • You want to embed CRgraM in a closed product.
  • You want managed multi-tenant hosting.
  • You want custom Vertical Packs.

When AGPL is fine

  • Self-hosting for your own business.
  • Internal modifications (no obligation to share).
  • Contributing improvements back to the project.

Trademark

"CRgraM Cloud" is our trademark. AGPL covers copyright, not trademark. Fork us, ship better, but call your fork something else.

Precedent

Same model as Plausible, Posthog, Plane, Cal.com, Mattermost. None have been "cockroached." All thriving.
